Christian Frei
Photographer James Nachtwey has had an illustrious career covering war and conflict. Christian Frei's film, War Photographer, asks penetrating questions about taking pictures of unspeakable suffering. Nachtway, at one point in the film, says a photographer should be a stranger in that situation, subverting the conventional wisdom that it's best to spend time and get acquainted with people prior to documenting them. Note the use of a mini video camera attached to the top of Nachtwey's still camera to show his point-of-view.
